428953 Hypertherm Smart Sync cartridge for flush cutting up to 85-amps, pack of one.

85-amp Flush Cut cartridges are compatible with Smart Sync torches for the Powermax 85/105 Sync systems. Flush Cut is Hypertherm's unique way of cutting brackets, lifting eyes, seized nuts and bolts level with the beams and plates they are welded to without removing material from the parent plate.

Once fitted to a Smart Sync torch the system reads the data from cartridge and automatically changes the power source to the correct application (either cutting or gouging) and sets the correct amperage to match the appropriate cartridge.

They also can be used on Duramax torches using a torch adapter (428951) for Powermax 45XP/65/85/105 systems; however, data storage and cartridge ID are not compatible when used with Duramax torches.

Smart Sync cartridges are colour coded for ease of identification; Yellow- Drag Cutting, Green-Gouging, Grey-Mechanised Cutting and Black- Flush Cut.

The cartridge stores information on its usage within its own internal chip, including arc starts, transfers and hours used, this can be read by fitting the cartridge to the Smart Sync torch, info is then displayed on the power source screen. Alternatively, the data can be read by using the optional 528083 cartridge reader and smart phone app.

Using the new range of Hypertherm Smart Sync cartridges improves consumable life by allowing all parts used in the traditional five-piece stack up to wear at equal rates. Using a combination of part worn and new consumables on the same cutting torch reduces the overall life of the consumable stack.

The cartridge replaces the five-piece stack used on alternative plasma cutting systems.
